I do a few kinds of consulting work: career consulting, team development, and diversity consulting. If you’re interested in any of these services, drop me an email at liz at marigoldassociates dot com.
How do we decide what to do with our lives? More often than not, we make these decisions based on external factors — what’s prestigious, what pays well, what our parents have told us to do — and not on how we’re wired. Once we start working, many of us find that our jobs are a poor fit for who we are, but we don’t know what else to do instead.
That’s where I can help. Using my training in clinical psychology and the most reliable and valid personality assessments available, I work with people to help them understand how they’re wired and find work that fits them. My clients range from college students and recent college grads trying to figure out what jobs to pursue to people in their 20s, 30s, and beyond looking to change careers, and I’ve worked with them face-to-face in the Bay Area and all over the country via FaceTime and Skype. You can find more information here and here.
Most of us work on a team of some kind, and having a healthy, well-functioning team is paramount in doing your best work. If you’re looking to better understand the people on your team and how you work together, I can administer personality assessments, provide individual and group feedback, and facilitate group discussion to help understand how you operate, what might be missing, and how you can improve.
Every organization claims to be invested in diversity, but very few do it well; most aren’t aware that having a diverse organization is more than just having a few people of color on staff. If this is an area in which your organization is looking to improve, I can work with you to assess, educate, and provide strategies for your staff.
